1. What's your practice focus and what kind of clients knock on your door ?
My practice is geared towards motivated individuals who are seeking support to navigate recent life transitions. I love working with young adults and adults who are transitioning from college, navigating long-term relationships, entering the "adult world" and/or preparing for a big life transition. I typically work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress and interpersonal/relational difficulties.
2. Tell us about yourself.
At a young age I knew I wanted my profession to be centered around a caregiver role - I just did not know what that would be until I took my first psychology class in high school. After my first class, I felt like everything "clicked". I enjoyed learning about others, how people function, patterns of behavior and self-improvement strategies. I also recognized how beneficial the therapeutic world was for myself and wanted to be able to give that experience to others!
3. Tell us the story of a patient who you are most proud of helping.
I am proud of all of my patients! Ones that might stand out are the patients who are hesitant about therapy/the therapeutic process but find themselves making great strides and adjustments to improve their overall wellbeing.
4. What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a practitioner in private practice?
One of the hardest parts of being a practitioner in private practice is finding balance - balance with caseload, time management, taking time for yourself and even the types of clients you work with.
