1. What's your practice focus and what kind of clients knock on your door ?
HBH is behavioral health clinic that provides high quality services, informed by evidence based practice, with target populations impacting public safety, such as Military, Veterans, Police, First Responders, Correctional Officers, and those involved in the criminal justice system. Areas of clinical focus include trauma, substance use disorder, sleep, depression, anxiety, and holistic wellness. In addition to public safety, HBH also seeks to serve underserved populations and rural areas.
2. Tell us about yourself.
I am from a rural area and it has been a dream of mine to return to my underserved community with knowledge, training, and experience to offer and expand services here. I completed my pre and postdoctoral clinical training at Eisenhower Army Medical Center as an Active Duty Army psychologist which fueled my desire to serve those who serve our country. I am currently a psychologist with the Army National Guard. I have worked in correctional facilities and currently work in community corrections.
3. Tell us the story of a patient who you are most proud of helping.
The patients I am most proud of helping are those that impact our greater good such as those in Military and government service. It is an honor to support those who preserve our freedoms and public safety.
4. What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a practitioner in private practice?
The most difficult part of owning a group practice is balancing administrative and clinical demands.
