1. What's your practice focus and what kind of clients knock on your door ?
In the beginning of my career, I specialized in working with adolescents and their families. My practiced shifted almost 10 years ago and now I mainly work with couples. I specialize in couples that want to put the hard work in to stay together. I do a lot of affair recovery. I also work with couples where one of them has ADHD, Anxiety or Postpartum as these disorders can truly effect their relationship.
2. Tell us about yourself.
I wanted to create a practice where I could help as many people in the community as possible; but, I obviously can't see everyone and don't specialize in everything. So I created the Counseling and Wellness Center of South Florida (CWCSF). I have about 20 therapists that all specialize in different things in order to reach more of the community and help more people with their individual struggles.
3. Tell us the story of a patient who you are most proud of helping.
I'm very proud of the work that I do with all of my clients as well as the supervision that I provide to Registered Interns. I love watching new therapists grow and develop.
4. What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a practitioner in private practice?
Making sure you don't forget about taking care of yourself.
5. What are the top 3 tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a private practice today?\
