1. What's your practice focus and what kind of clients knock on your door ?
I work with individuals and couples who want to love every aspect of their lives and relationships. They tend to desire a life of passion, purpose, joy and abundance.
2. Tell us about yourself.
I was always drawn to psychology and sought to understand the human mind and behavior. Initially, I was setting down a research based path when the universe shifted me into a more applied, therapeutic route. I have truly loved every step of the last 10 years, as I get to bear witness to people changing their minds, their belief systems and thoughts to create more in their life. Knowing we all have the capacity to overcome, transform and create inspires me daily.
3. Tell us the story of a patient who you are most proud of helping.
I have a client I have seen consistently for many years. They started in a low, apathetic and hopeless state after a divorce. While we had many difficult, saddening sessions, he continued to trust me and through our work he began to heal- heal his relationship to himself, his family, his ex. Through forgiveness, acceptance, trust - and consistent effort and will, he is now joyful, purposeful and confident. I watch in awe as he has become the greatest version of himself yet.
4. What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a practitioner in private practice?
Realizing you cannot help someone who doesn't really want help, healing or change. Some people come to therapy to check a box but are resistant to really doing the work. I know everyone has the potential to grow but not everyone has the desire. Understanding this was a major key in my own journey.
