1. What's your practice focus and what kind of clients knock on your door ?
My practice focus is busy, high-performing women that struggle with hormone and fertility issues.
2. Tell us about yourself.
I was initially an occupational therapist that saw a huge need for reform and change in our medical system. I practiced as an OT for over 10 years before I went back to school to get a health coaching certification and doctorate in naturopathy. I now enjoy helping women on my own terms without the pressures of a managed care system dictating how many units of time I can spend with clients.
3. Tell us the story of a patient who you are most proud of helping.
I recently helped a couple get pregnant when they were told they would most likely never have kids or would need assisted reproductive technology to make their dream of having children a reality due to unexplained infertility. They had three IVF failures and were at a loss as to what to do. We started working on diet and lifestyle including mindset and they were able to conceive within 5 months without IVF.
4. What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a practitioner in private practice?
As an entrepreneur, thought leader and visionary, it can be exhausting juggling clients and running all the sides of a business including financials, content production, marketing, social media. It can also be a lonely space for solopreneurs. I have learned it is important to connect with others in masterminds and other groups to stay on track. These groups can be great for growing and scaling business and keeping up with trends.
