1. What's your practice focus and what kind of clients knock on your door ?
I serve individuals experiencing crisis, trauma, or are challenged by life. I super serve law enforcement personnel and their families who experience depression, anxiety, ptsd, and/or adjustment disorders.
2. Tell us about yourself.
After 30 years of emergency mental health and working with police I realized our community hero’s do not get the mental health support they need to do the tough job of policing.
3. Tell us the story of a patient who you are most proud of helping.
I was able to intervene in a police officer suicide and get him in treatment. Now he is a huge advocate for mental health treatment.
4. What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a practitioner in private practice?
The hardest thing about private practice is you’re alone. It is all on you, accounting, administration , patient care, customer service, etc.
