1. What's your practice focus and what kind of clients knock on your door ?
As implied by the name, I do holistic and trauma therapy. Holistic because I want to address the whole person and not just the symptoms of anxiety, depression etc.
Everyone has had people and events (big and small) that have negatively affected us. Clients who want to reprocess and move on with their lives. Clients who want to learn healthy living skills (DBT - coping, emotion regulation, relationship skill, interpersonal effectiveness, etc.
2. Tell us about yourself.
I have been providing therapy since 2007. I am passionate about working with clients to clear their traumas, so that they are free to live their lives and not be stuck or held back by past negative experiences
3. Tell us the story of a patient who you are most proud of helping.
So many clients who cleared their traumas and became free and happy, became sober, learned healthy living skills that they take with them, ended toxic relationships and entered new healthy relationships, found jobs, went on to get married, have children.
I love when clients say I have done therapy before, but I did not know this was possible when they refer to the traumas that no longer bother them.
4. What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a practitioner in private practice?
Remembering to take good care of yourself. Sometimes this job can be isolating.
5. What are the top 3 tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a private practice today?\
